You’d Better Ask Somebody: Why Employee Referrals (Still) Matter in Hiring
“Crowdsourcing” was just added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2013. With reviews sites like Yelp, Glassdoor and TripAdvisor, it seems like the practice is ubiquitous today. But recruiters and hiring managers have been crowdsourcing forever, in the form of referrals. In fact, crowdsourcing is more important in hiring than anywhere else.
